As journalists write about immigration policy, we need to take care not to slip into these loaded phrases. For decades, “chain migration” was known as “family-based migration system,” which allows members of families to sponsor relatives.

Completely agree. Chain migration must stop. Indians and Pakistanis are the most notorious for this..this is cheap labor. This is one way how they bring Mullahs and imams to US.

You are correct. So let's practice what we preach, shall we? By USCIS definition, "undocumented" category doesn't exist. It's "illegal aliens."

And for decades the country, especially the working class became poorer so the Dem party could find more uneducated people to vote for them.

You have that backwards… It’s the uneducated that voted Republican and for Trump most recently. Traditional Republicans do represent the top one percent but they trick the poor to vote against their self interest. Just the fact.

Same way "abortion" has morphed into "women's right to choose," or ... "women's reproductive health rights." And when "quotas" became "racial preferences," "affirmative action," and now, benignly ... "diversity." Or, when "illegal aliens" somehow became "undocumented workers."

Yes but my personal favorite is when “TRAITOR” became “PATRIOT”.
