@LauraWalkerKC I can't get over this. I watched Hoekstra on TV making outlandish comments to backup Trump & now he's taken his act international. How many ways can they embarrass us?

I grew up just south of the DeVos Mafia gravitational ring but within the Grand Rapids Press range. Parents were raised Chicago Catholic but bagged that city to live on the sliver of land grandparents saved through the '30's depression.

They never wanted to live back in the city but oh boy did they find some things tough to accept. Both parents were curious which with my mom's graciousness and dad's humor meant we grew up w/ eclectic experiences.

My paternal grandma spent her final years in Southwest MI, and after a lifetime of living in the South burbs and working at US Steel, she too had some adjusting to do!
