People who use 2027 distribution tables to say tax plans hurt the middle class are being disingenuous. Tax writers had middle class tax cuts expire precisely because they know Congress will extend them. The damage is to the debt.
Stick to tax cuts. Apples to Apples. And for years NCLB was routinely extended until a new version was passed last year.

Routinely extended in its original form, stupid parts intact. I get that it's not a tax bill. But I do not believe in the benevolence of future Congress. If those tax cuts are supposed to be permanent, make them permanent.
-
They can't. If they made them permanent they wouldn't be able to avoid the filibuster.
-
They could make them permanent if they made cuts to the rich vulnerable to expiration, or if they cut the corporate tax rate slightly less than they want to.

Why stick to tax cuts? How much of 2017 did you predict? The future isn't more predictable for taxes than anything else.
