@jonathanweisman well, Wallace predates LBJ, but the connection between Versailles/feckless Weimar and the Nazi's is basically accepted.

@meelar He probably couldn't. I could criticize his foreign policy or finance messaging, but the party more broadly made mistakes I think. -
@meelar This might be wrong. Per the NYT today, not making fun of Trump in 2011 may have been it, which just goes to show life is weird.
