.@philipaklein Dems got 55% of House vote in 1982, vs 51.4% for GOP in 2010. Dems ended with 269 seats in 82 vs. 242 for GOP in 2010.

@davidfrum Big thing you're missing is what good the Tea Party did: Sens. Rubio, Toomey, Johnson. I'd count Ayotte too (endorsed by Palin).
@McCormackJohn @davidfrum Forgot Rand Paul and Mike Lee. Senate's full of them, and soon Ted Cruz. Has changed the institution.

@McCormackJohn@davidfrum Any "good" movement would banish cranks, and the Tea Party has shown neither inclination nor ability to do so. -
@McCormackJohn And all honor to them! But they were a minority, so the critics of the Tea Party were vindicated. They will be again.
