.@justicedems making good on pledge to open Democratic primaries. They've backed challengers to Henry Cuellar in Texas, Lacy Clay in Missouri, Eliot Engel in New York, Dan Lipinski in Ill., Joyce Beatty in Ohio and Richard Neal in Mass. And it's Aug 2019.https://www.justicedemocrats.com/candidates
Weird that you don’t mention that these folks are white.
@nytimes come get your man.
Wait! You haven't told us what race they are @jonathanweisman !
You forgot to mention the races of everyone involved
Richard Neal is my Rep. I am excited to see Alex Morse challenge him. Neal is one of the most corporate PAC backed members of congress. He has to go. Alex Morse and Richard Neal are both well-known in MA-01. There's WAY more energy surrounding Morse, and there has been for years.
I live in this district, too. I need to learn more about Alex Morse, but I've been wholly unimpressed by Neal and I'm glad he has a challenger.
Sure, let's trade away the power of Ways & Means to a politician of,er, limited skills. Can I look forward to another batch of condescending 'hampsters coming to my neighborhood to explain politics to the black folks?
Honestly I don't see Western Mass (esp the rural parts) getting any particular benefit from W&M if Neal doesn't listen to his constituents. It's not like dems would lose the chair; it would go to John Lewis, probably.
Western MA needs to see Trump's tax returns and get him impeached. Our national life is not just about what benefits our corner of the world but having a representative with real fiscal power generally proves a win for the district.
Exactly. That's why I think John Lewis would do a better job.
Huh? I thought you were worried about poor old rural Western Ma & now you're worried about Buckhead?
I'm saying that the national good of having John Lewis in charge of W&M will result in a greater net good for WMass than having a representative who's not responsive to our needs who happens to chair W&M.
You just love stepping in shit, Jonathan. Maybe just devote your energy to helping Maggie provide cover for our worthy elite.
As a massachusetts progressive i want justice democrats to primary all centrist democrats... and more importantly primaries help drive voter turnout so they are good for the party... this is democracu
Neal could have had Trumps tax returns months ago, and has declined. His district is so Blue, Republicans don't bother to run there. Why should a deep Blue district settle for a Trump-protecting corporate Democrat when they could have a real progressive who works for them?
Good. Neal sucks.
Howie Klein's Blue America PAC Endorsed Him A Few Weeks Back. Howie Klein Also Writes At Down With Tyranny Blog. Here Is Howie On Tuesday's David Feldman Showhttps://youtu.be/Cs77-5is2_g
Another great endorsement! Good luck Mayor Morse
Cool, sounds rad as hell. Hopefully someone primaries Lynch too.
