When impeachment resolution sent 2 the Senate, the senate can and will start the trial process. Doesn’t matter if Dems have all the evidence, the Rep Senators will not convict (it takes a minimum of 20). You are advocating 4 trump 2 become an innocent man & 4 more years, or more.
But if they start an inquiry now, I believe many Americans that aren’t paying attention will take notice. The @HouseDemocrats can pull the public along.
They r holding hearings. Can’t get much useful info out of the lying Reps. Nothing abt the word impeachment will make the witnesses b any more helpful. When the offense that gets the Rs attention comes 2 light, the Ds r ready 2 pounce. But count on Barr 2 interfere at every turn.
I think the word impeachment might help get the public that still aren’t paying attention to take notice. Maybe not. But 100% Barr will obstruct at every opportunity - even when it’s not necessary like #EricGarner’s case.
It will be interesting to see how the dynamic changes as the number gets up around 120, if there's some kind of "tipping point" that will occur.
