I don't think that's what he's saying. He's trying to claim that Trump's behavior toward women has not been put on the same moral plane as Hillary's emails. But Hillary's emails provoked enduring outrage from Republicans. Sixteen abused women got about a week.

Ms. Chapin's tweet is not ahistorical. A week before election all front pages focused on Comey/emails. Nothing was being said re "grab em" That's the whole point of the original thread: it is (was!) unfathomable for many that this tape didn't DQ him from office.
