The cost of insulin in the US is an outrage. Recently, I read an article about diabetics in MN who carpool and drive across the border to Canada to purchase their insulin because the cost is hundreds of dollars less.

My mom can't afford it either. She keeps it in my fridge and stops by once a day to use it even though she should use it once every time she eats. My mom has Type 1 and it has been like this for her whole life. She faints a lot and sometimes I have to get her, it's pretty scary
