We are all apparently deluding ourselves into thinking we are making a difference by recycling when the recycling either gets burned or put in a landfill.

It’s really depressing.
My daughter now makes us soap and shampoo to avoid packaging and makes us buy in bulk in paper bags, which we then compost. It’s freaking hard work being green.
