Many were carried out with assault weapons. I support a ban. He should answer that.

Scalise is making an excellent argument for banning all guns.

104k prohibited sales were stopped by background checks in 2017. Background checks won’t stop every crime — but surely they stop some with a minimum of inconvenience to law abiding gun owners.

That is the exact argument for toughening laws! We are not even making it difficult! They are doing this legally! How many high school kids actually know how to get a gun illegally? But they don't have to because fools like Scalise refuse to make it difficult to get a gun.

Why would my Representative Steve Scalise (LA-R) lie about multi-victim shootings? I want a ban on assault weapons, Steve. Do you?

Ban assault weapons & strengthen background checks. We’ve (Dems) have been screaming this response for years! Why doesn’t NYT and GOP get it?! It’s not a hard concept to grasp FFS.

We’d probably save a lot of time and energy if we’d just ban all guns. Let’s try it and see what happens!

Background checks should be conducted at the local, state, and federal levels. Not all states and municipalities are compliant.https://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/28/us/problems-riddle-system-to-check-buyers-of-guns.amp.html …

The attitude of “do nothing” because an act doesn’t solve every incident is lazy reasoning, and disappointing. People drive drunk even though there are laws against it, should we make driving drunk legal? Focus more on the “well regulated” portion of the 2A, I dare you.
