You all are missing a major point though, DACA recipients and other immigrants and really people do not want the wall. I mean we positively want no wall. It's not a lack of desire. The wall is a bad thing. Allowing it to happen is a step toward a life none of us wants.

I mean I see a lot of writing about the wall that doesn't discuss how a wall would look in reality, with prosperity on one side and people on the other begging to get in. That is the future the GOP wants.

I also think any DACA solution that ever allows a Dreamer citizenship is poison to Trump with his base. Any single thing some frothing lunatic with a microphone can call “Amnesty!” is worse than no wall. This “DACA for the Wall” Deal idea has no chance.
