I travel the country talking of the rise in bigotry and intolerance against blacks, Jews, Muslims, Latinos and immigrants. I am amazed how many audiences don't want to hear it -- or want to point fingers of blame rather than uniting against hate. Bigotry should not be partisan.
At a synagogue in East Hampton I was told all of the rightwing anti-Semites could fit into that one building. In Westhampton Beach I was told I was a self-hating Jew for even suggesting the rise in bigotry had to do with the current political environment.
On Tuesday night, I left a synagogue in Montreal only to be greeted with a hate-filled email from one of the men who had come to hear me speak.
But bigotry *is* partisan right now.
But bigotry becomes partisan when only one group of partisans is responsible for inflaming bigots
Maybe you all should have focused on this in 2016 instead of email stories and access palace intrigue. You all are so fucking useless.
It generally isn't, but when you go out of your way to blame white people only and as a group, it's MADE partisan.

A big segment of the population doesn't want to reason. They make the conscious choice of closing their eyes to reality & responsibility. Not only in politics but life. People want to wash their hands & when anyone forces them to confront reality that person becomes the enemy.

Again blame the President. What about during the the past hearings, by Antifa, by the leadership of the Dems, Senators during the hearings, Nancy, Chuck, interrupt people in restaurants, movies, etc. At least as a reporter should be fair. You and CNN are not fair.
