Let's be clear: for the moment Trump called off a trade war w/ Europe over some pretty paltry concessions, a few more soybean sales & a promise to buy natural gas once we've built LNG terminals that are years away. This from the EU that allegedly has been fleecing us for years.
This looks like a blink after farm states screamed, not a win, and who know if it will last? Also, the promise to hold off new tariffs while we negotiate to zero trade barriers feels a bit like Obama's pledge for a nuclear-free world, aspirational, not concrete.
