Always sad when ctrl+f "github" shows 0/0 results. When they do (if they do in the first place) I'm sure a lot of people would genuinely have fun with it. Which brings up.... why do they fund these types of papers? Such relatively advanced work for what practical applications?
I am so excited for when @facebookai drops Vid2Game code. Imagine all the amazing things you could do with this. Maybe the models are even playable in a Colab? FMV games: The Next Generation?

I don't have any insight to why the big companies like Google and Facebook do some projects, sometimes I wonder if it's just to recruit good people and keep them happy working on interesting/fun stuff rather than working for their competitors.

It seems to be more of an engineering feat in terms of hooking up things together, but I still think you could do a ton of stuff with this as is and there's nothing usable by the public that comes close that I can see.

Yeah, probably you want a text interface as well so you can type anything like AI Dungeon and also move the character around (also trained on the script so it will do its best to visualize.)
