    Assuming these quotes are accurate (if they're not, I'll delete the post), the logical flaw should be obvious: If denying the accusation is proof it's true, then the charge is unfalsifiable.

    Rotten borough logic can be applied to the Senate -- but to use it as a defense of the status quo, which massively overrepresents white, rural areas while underrrepresenting urban minorities -- is utterly perverse.

    Mitch Daniels likens DC statehood to creating a "rotten borough." A complete inversion of the truth. A rotten borough has representation but no people. DC has people but no representation.
