Of all @baseballcrank's arguments for denying DC residents Congressional representation, this is my favorite: https://www.nationalreview.com/magazine/2020/10/19/the-district-of-columbia-should-not-be-a-state/ …pic.twitter.com/nXf4Ocme16

People who live in Washington don't deserve Congressional representation because... the people living in the suburbs have it!

Second favorite argument: Democrats are purely self-interested in supporting DC statehood. As if Trump did not recently admit his only reason to deny Congressional representation to its citizens is that they'd vote for Democrats.

Not having political representation is oppressive whether you are wealthy or poor.

But oppression and demonization of the wealthy is fine if those wealthy people are class traitors. Man, learn how to Murica.

So you’re willing for Democratic Maryland to regulate what are now federal properties? Interesting...

I also appreciate NRO making the "wealthy people don't need to be able to vote because they're already powerful" argument. Does NRO think this concept should be extended nationwide?

They should move if they are unhappy. Vote with their feet. They can move anywhere else in the country and get what they want.

He should also make that argument for states like Kentucky that are awash in Federal money and would collapse into Third World hell holes without constant subsidies.
