What’s so cool about neural phase entrainment in the auditory system? And when is it more appropriate to speak of neural tracking instead? And why did abandon their tasteful Helvetica layout for this article by Christoph Kayser and myself?

Also, campaigns are more likely to have precinct captains/volunteers at precincts where they're doing well, which would unavoidably introduce some bias even if they're reporting all the data they *do* have honestly.

Amazing work! Can’t help but wonder: What’s harder, acquiring 4 million trials, or tracking down the ORCID ID of so many authors?

99 smartphones are transported in a handcart to generate virtual traffic jam in Google Maps. Through this activity, it is possible to turn a green street red which has an impact in the physical world by navigating cars on another route!

It's 02.02.2020, the day for sharing palindromes, and this one's a doozy. "Doc, note: I dissent. A fast never prevents a fatness. I diet on cod."

It’s really not upon me as tenured professor to be cynical about etc. -- but a 50 % postdoc job for two years with an evaluation (!) after 1 year is a new low, isn‘t it. [No intention to shoot the messenger here, !]

Since is trending today, I thought I might talk about it a little. It's unfortunately much maligned, but it's actually a rather good typeface—but you can make it even better! In this thread, I'll show you how (in Word). 😉

Today in this year’s research 101 class I felt the urge to not again devote half of my time to the narcissist drama of Zimbardo and Milgram, at least not without qualifying their work under a questionable research practices angle (rather then “only” w.r.t. ethics).

Slow clap for for this legit use of double quotes inside single quotes inside double quotes, all ending at once.

What a list, what a project. A great case study in mechanistic inference as well, of interest to science philosophy aficionados as well (plus us auditory people, to envy vision research for its cleanliness)

Okay, I just learned the euphemism “reverse-translational” , and I think it indicates what we used to call basic research for a few decades at least, and now I feel so much better.

“Under review” is the best status. So many great roads still ahead at that stage. Time to dream. (Still loving my job.)
