YouTubers have been busy with the Windows 11 leak, creating a lot of misinformation because they don’t know Windows. One video even has someone saying “Windows 11 is a thing and I have an official copy from Microsoft”

so what`? the distribution method is not relevant.... and they released it- not to everybody, but its still nonetheless released.
it this context- the youtubers are saying it is a authentic microsoft windows 11, thats why the sentence starts with "Windows 11 is a thing"

Read what he's saying. The YouTubers are trying to say it's an official copy from Microsoft themselves instead of the quite clearly leaked version. Nobody is denying that it is in fact a MS product. They haven't even confirmed it's official yet!

Yep. The YouTube person is trying to claim a level of credibility, appearing like some blessed insider with a secret line directly to Microsoft, rather than being yet another person with the leaked copy It's OK I guess, but galling to those who a less misrepresentative
