That’s how the “full text search” has ever worked on Windows. It took some time, if you lucky, you pribably made a grade before item appears in search results 
I hate this SO much- it should never happen! It aint rocket science to load items in start menu and search if text is in them before what ever crap I dont want anyway is done. But nooo- instead lets have computer be unuseable for random amount of time.pic.twitter.com/ZZSP0iHMuB

Removed misleading posts. This works: New-ItemProperty -Path "HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer" -Name "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions" -Value 1 -PropertyType DWORD -Force; (reboot! enjoy!)

Following up, if you (like me) are from the future: PowerShell might whine that the path doesn't exist. Correct, it doesn't. Create the key first. If you don't know how to do that, you should not be doing any of this. In any case, this does work for me on 21H1. Thanks.

Best part is where pressing enter on a misspelled query you expected to launch some program results in Edge being launched to display results from Bing. One of the few few places where "default browser" setting has no effect at all.
