No shit. Windows is only usable when you apply shit load of group policies and registry entries to make things stop. I was never of fan of how slow the cloud search was and there was no easy way to disable it. I have to apply atleast 20-30 GPOs before I actually start using it.
I'm so fed up configuring my Win10 installations, so I swapped to Ghost Spectre Windows versions. They are pretty usable from the start.
I see you have been quite unhappy with how Win 10 "behaves" so to speak... and I have to agree with you, specially on the privacy matter and the usage data collection process which makes things even worse as it affects performance. Have you tried Windows Server ?
...I mean, there´s the "useful" features of Win 10, some legacy ones from older OSes, better configurable, no usage data collection bullshit (even though they might still do it at some level..gotta do some deep research on this), etc etc... I ve been relatively happy with W. 2019
