Ok, so placing a shortcut file / .url file with a hotkey assigned will assign the hotkey just by having the file in: Your downloads folder World writeable \users\public\desktop Who will generate all integers for hotkeys to find the easiest triggerable ?

Ah... "%Public%\Desktop" isn't writable by non-admins (fully patched Win10 Pro v1909 on a new PC in the last year, and same on Win8.1 Pro. INTERACTIVE just has read, execute, list folder contents).
