A vision that was so much ahead of its time, we are still trying to catch up. A vision by a man that did not just want to create an operating system- but an operating system for operating systems. A vision that is the reason we today have linux kernel as just another subsystem

A vision that would never pass in todays world- a vision that saw everything as objects. In this platonic object orientated vision a filesystem only catering to files is a laughable concept. Why wouldnt you want to embed you OLE objects directly into the file system?

what is a file really? if not just a object that you dont know the type of. Thinking about it- isnt the idea of having a filesystem that do not understand the context of the files what really is absurd?

Why should it be any diffferent listing files in a folder to listing your estates in an excel sheet or your emails in the inbox?
