I dont really game- but the current state of affairs I think inderectly affect me. Why do you think Microsoft up prioritize development of TPM ++ chip while slashes other bounty programs? Why is it more importnant then making windows 10 safe? That is where the money is

game companies cannot make games that are hard to cheat in and compete with the others- they dont have the talents, nor the budgets. So what do they do? They put pressure on Microsoft- but to fix the current situation

they will have to make lots of systems that are depending on poor quality drivers unusable. Not a valid strategy- so instead, they will create A and B team of windows consumers. Those that only use Ms approoved drivers and hardware- and those that dont.

With the new chip and secure boot enabled you can get an "attestment" from the chips that you are unlikely a cheater , so you can game against other people on the "a team". That is also why soon on ms signed drivers will work.
