game companies cannot make games that are hard to cheat in and compete with the others- they dont have the talents, nor the budgets. So what do they do? They put pressure on Microsoft- but to fix the current situation

they will have to make lots of systems that are depending on poor quality drivers unusable. Not a valid strategy- so instead, they will create A and B team of windows consumers. Those that only use Ms approoved drivers and hardware- and those that dont.

Basically its subcontracting software security to hardware vendors where the chain of trust (including people, countries...) is much lower. Would you see in the future custom made tpm chips, extra hash for custom bootloader, known private key or leak of private key etc...
