1/3 When i see new Microsoft protection technologies, i always remember old Jesper M. Johansson article about 10 Immutable Laws of Security.https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/tnmag/2008/11/19/revisiting-the-10-immutable-laws-of-security/ …

@dwizzzlemsft created security core PC model, which uses some Hyper-V-based protection technologies. But it looks that, idea contradicts some of that laws (1,2 as minimum).1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
3/3 If security core PC breaks that laws, it will be genius, or we will have some "swizzle" security PC ;) I don't know - time will tell.

You don't read paper about 10 laws: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/technet-magazine/cc895640(v=msdn.10)?redirectedfrom=MSDN … Law 3: "If the attacker has physical access to your computer, it is likely the computer has been stolen and, therefore, it is unlikely you will get it back". Bitlocker doesn't save from it.

Actually your wrong about that. If you are using bitlocker + pin and the machine has been powered down you prevent a large number of physical attacks. It would not be a guarantee though on commodity hardware, you would need something like Xbox to reach that

it do require a Microsoft hosted account though- without that it is not possible. Nah- of course not, if not ms account there appears a " I forgot my password if wrong password entered" It opens a guide where you have to insert an usb stick with a password reset usb stick

We cannot forward the guide without an usb stick with matching key. The next button is disabled. Lucky us though- as there is also 3 invisible buttons hidden that just totally skips that check.

We find these buttons with help of our old friend the narrator( rumored to be son of dr. watson ) ctrl+ win key + enter summons him, now hold down caps and press the arrows, you will find the hidden bypass buttons easily.
