While we're off topic, the other day I learned that Microsoft has reserved filenames. If you try to create a file named "con" it won't let you. 14 years in tech and then a TIL moment.

Been trying to think of any security ramifications. Like could I upload a file named con to a webapp and cause unexpected behavior?
You can easily check if IIS do leaky error messages to remote hosts by requesting con: https://outlook.live.com/nul : you can override its behavior with per luid device maps I also use it to delete an running file
Woah, interesting that it even appears on Microsoft’s own pages, with the generic default error page. What about using these names to delete opened files? Because that sounds like something that could be really useful
