      Hmmm about the registry key symbolic link creation ? Why should you create symlink to your registry hive while you can do more damage instead you can create symlink on HKEY_USERS, do it in the following way and i suppose it should work HKU\{YOUR-SID}\VOLATILE To HKU\S-1-5-8\env

      registry symlinks are not followed from insecure hives to secure hives

          Literally don't follow, you can set a symlink from HKCU to HKLM but the kernel will refuse to open the target key. System hives such as HKLM are secure so they'll follow to anywhere, but normal users ones aren't.
