try and start by opening the nul share - do that work for you? if yes then do relative open to that with file_id

Yes, both 0xA0, and 0x80 as options. The nul share returns STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME.

allright- i think its maybe needed- but first try with net use \\localhost\ipc$ "/user:" "" then try nul again
