Much of the engineering is of "systems programming", "embedded", and "hardware-software codesign" type. We have one the most capable crypto teams in the land with 6 Crypto PhDs (3 proposals in the NIST PQC), so you can learn that. You should already "get" security, however. (2/6)

There are other team leads that can talk about their areas -- I am myself working on IP cores for PQ crypto that come together as a SoC, called (wait for it) PQSoC. For this, we've built our own RISC-V core and coprocessors. We're pretty active in RISC-V crypto ISA work. (3/6).

Also in hardware engineering, we believe that open source tools, flows are needed to address supply chain threats ("there are no black boxes for our customers"). There's also an emphasis on formal verification, side-channel stuff, and some research-y high-assurance things. (4/6)
