Right, this works great :) The difference I see here is: Spoolsv opens pipe with generic rw, but MoveFileEx with just /Read Attributes, Delete, Synchronize/ and ImpersonateNamedPipeClient ends with: Unable to impersonate .. until data has been read from that pipe.
The SetFileInformationByHandle you've used doesn't seem to do anything differently if \\localhost\pipe is used, correct? I was wondering if you could turn this rename into impersonation even without \\localhost\pipe trick.
