Can you gain persistence somehow?
persistence in combination with what? The file that deletes it self while running is not really persistent... but ways of persistence is near infinity

sure- there is lots of auto run registry keys. But if you are asking for a novel approach. 1. You could set an appx reparsepoint to a custom uwp app on an exe that runs anyway. 2. Make up something to change in enviroment variables that will result in wrong file gets run.
