Serious question Jon. How much do political reporters rely on “feel?” Not criticizing it may be the best you can do. Just feels subjective and arbitrary.

It's a great question. I can only speak for myself. I think interviews are an important form of data-gathering, though obviously not the only one. They can help reveal when people are more or less certain about decisions, for example.

I wonder if they SAY they are reckoning with this or they just don't want to tell journalists. Also I have to wonder how many just do not believe accusers just bc it is now the "in" thing to do in NYC/DC to believe accusers that many outside will say, nope, prove it in court.
