Time for my (nearly annual) argument that Clayton Kershaw is the best pitcher in Dodger history. 1/

Kershaw has a legit shot at 300 wins and 4,000Ks. He's won three Cy Young awards, and he's only 29. 3/

Koufax, who was 30 in his last season, racked up 165 wins, a 2.76 ERA, 2,396 Ks and and 1.1 WHIP. The stats are very comparable. 4/

But where there's an edge, it's to Kershaw on not giving up baserunners and runs, and to Koufax on Wins and Ks 5/

To me, Kershaw, who may win a 4th Cy Young award this year, is the best Dodger hurler ever already. 6/

There's no reason to think he won't pitch for a lot longer than Koufax did, and his stuff doesn't seem to be leaving him 7/

I've been making this case for the last few years, and the evidence keeps piling up. 8/

ERAs of 1.73, 2.04, 1.74 and 1.88 in Sandy Koufax's last four seasons. Kershaw ain't that good.
