Schumer calls this "the ignominious end"of bipartisan cooperation on SCOTUS nominations. That sounds like a warning.

The vote on Roberts was 78-22, with Democrats splitting 22-22. So, it's fair to say there was some measure of bipartisanship on his confirmation.

True, some. I’ll give you that, but overall, the R’s support for D’s SC picks has been much more “bipartisan” than vice versa.
