“The collision of Kavanaugh's nomination with the #MeToo movement — a demand for justice for victims of sexual assault — has paralyzed Washington and turned the once-solemn Supreme Court confirmation process into a theater of human suffering.”https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/kavanaugh-fight-shows-us-washington-sick-very-sick-n914931 …

THis is a 90% pro GOP article, by the way. This isn’t even bothsiderism.

Yeah and he couldn't even find sources with the tiniest bit of courage to talk about this issue openly? He also makes no mention of the president who thrives on chaos and division. This "make Trump not responsible for anything" media approach is both unprofessional and dangerous.

The piece literally quotes a Trump ally talking about how divisions have deepened since, and because of, his election.

Due to “his momentum for the American people”. Who is the source, the Mooch?

This Trump ally is saying that the President is uniting the people while dividing the parties. This is typical authoritarian rhetoric. Divide the public, then blame institutions that provide any checks and balances or knowledge.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think we must emphasize that importance of the role of the President in this. It is also important to point out that Republicans are setting the agenda. Democrats can only voice their opposition and hope to persuade some Republicans.
