Um ... with all due respect, we're not running a huge deficit BECAUSE of a strong economy, we're running a huge deficit b/c taxes have been cut dramatically (from levels that were already too low on the wealthy) and spending increased (in certain areas). Do better or don't tweet.https://twitter.com/jonallendc/status/1039650520565248000 …

Reporter thinks tax cuts create strong economy all evidence to the contrary. Good to know you're helping shape the narrative of what people see on TV.

Weird how both Clinton and Obama raised taxes and the economy performed better than when Reagan, Bush 43, and Trump cut taxes, but you do you, Jon. Thanks for playing.

See, this is the problem right here, folks. Someone like Jonathan Allen buys into the GOP idea that tax cuts = strong economy, when there's nothing to prove it, and when the bill comes due, they're like, huh, no one could have seen that coming.

I’m making the argument that an infusion of cash into the economy has helped growth and that the infusion came from a tax cut that increased the deficit and debt. You seem to conflate what I said with an argument that it’s good long-term for the economy or good policy.
