Note, I don’t say any of this in support of one media source over another. Sources on both sides of the political divide have proven guilty of these antics which discredits the field as a whole. The result is very sad for us as a collective society.

But that is not the norm. In MANY cases they leave the original article as is and post a secondary with a correction which isn’t equally publicized.
