As a fan of Murtha from childhood, I feel like I should know the reference. I don't. Help out an old friend here?

The back corner of the House chamber, to the right as you look out from the rostrum, is known as “The Pennsylvania Corner.” But it was also referred to at times as the Murtha corner because he wielded so much influence with the members who sat near him there.

Thanks from one Jonathan to another. Btw, I forget if me met 20+ years ago, but I know sis. Love seeing all your success and awesome observations.
-
Thanks, man. I remember your name, so either we met or I thought we did because my sister talked about you.
-
Most people knew me 20 years ago because of my famous QB cousin!

Sorry, missed this last night, was watching bad baseball while checking returns. Jon, how do you count members of now more generically goes by Pennsylvania Corner? Pascrell is still there, as is Loretta Sanchez. Tim Ryan is a de facto member. New folks have joined, like B. Boyle.

Loretta Sanchez is gone. Ryan is an informal if junior member of the crew. Just thinking back to the early part of the last decade.
-
Good grief -- Linda, Linda Sanchez. She's a fixture there. The corner is doing fine, it just doesn't have the big personality leading it in Murtha.
