No, I’m suggesting that a museum dedicated to informing the public about the importance of a free press shouldn’t promote the canard that credible news organizations are the equivalent of propagandists spreading lies over social media, which is what “fake news” refers to.
I’ve been open about my work history. I wrote a piece about why I left journalism and why I came back and have discussed it publicly. I strive to make sure my work, which is edited, stands up to scrutiny in terms of quality, objectivity and newsworthiness. I appreciate feedback.

Yeah I get that. But I think journalists overestimate their abilities in this regard. And tend to make exceptions when the chips are down
-
I understand that frustration. I generally think readers are able to discern if a story doesn’t hold up. One of the positive byproducts of this forum is the ability of readers to communicate directly with reporters

As a conservative Trump critic, I certainly hoped for better out of CNN than Acosta, Stelter etc carrying on like this. I’m sure u did too
-
I’m generally of the view that the public doesn’t care much for media discussing media. That said, journalists wanting a nonprofit that purports to support journalism not to contribute to discrediting it seems reasonable. The appropriate height of dudgeon is surely debatable.
-
I’d worry more about Acosta and Toobin and Morning Joe discrediting the procession than a t shirt
-
I’d guess damn near no one respects what Morning Joe is about and the product it turns out and yet everyone lines up to to appear
-
I’d bet 9 out of 10 serious journalists wish Jim Acosta would cut this shit out.

No one is talking about banning shirts. The first amendment says “Congress shall make no law...” - have you seen anyone suggesting a federal ban on the shirts or an amendment to the Constitution?
