I deleted my tweet about the tragic death of Colin Powell because many people interpreted it as anti-vax. It was not. I was excited to get vaccinated, hoping it would help speed a return to 'normal life'. I also did a PSA on Fox encouraging vaccination for those able....
As we all know, the FDA is now recommending boosters for certain people, and I personally know a number of people who have had breakthrough infections - some of them, quite troubling. Yes, Powell had myeloma, but I was still stunned to hear of his passing from COVID....
..we live in the same town, and we would occasionally run into each at the local sandwich shop. His death is a loss for our community and our country. I plan to get a booster as soon as possible.
Hey maybe don't post disinformation and blame it on being stunned. If you can't post responsibly, don't post at all.
How do you know he died from coved? He had immune compromised background and things like covid don’t help with fighting for your life. Your smart enough to know to be more careful with what you say/write
How about you use your brain if you have one ….Severely immunocompromised people like Sec Powell can NOT build an immune response even if they get 25 vaccine shots. These folks depend on US. to build a shield of immunity FOR them….

The myeloma made him immunocompromised. You should have mentioned that. He was also 84. The vaccines are great but for some, their effectiveness is limited and fighting cancer at the same time as Covid as well as being 84 limits the effectiveness of the vaccine.
It would be nice if people would acknowledge that those that are immunocompromised even vaccinated are at serious risk of dying if they get it and that is the reason they and those around them continue to be extra vigilant about unknowingly giving it to them.
What part of he had cancer and was immunocompromised do you not understand?
