Pretty astonishing set of letters from DfE warning an academy trust on the future of its schools over collapse of leadership, concerns over malpractice, no permanent CEO, lack of trust between local boards, members and trustees and votes of no confidence.

New: number of academy leaders on £150,000 or more climbed by seven per cent last year, accounts analysis reveals. This is based on my trawl of more than 300 academy trust accounts, comparing the top pay they reported to the situation last year.

Still seemingly no Ofqual board meeting minutes available on its website for any meeting held within last 12 months. DfE has gone years without publishing. UK inst checks and balances are so weak: public bodies seem to do what they like re transparency.
