    there's a ton of new stuff in alive2 (some of it my group's work, but a lot of it done by others) but the most obvious user-facing thing here is that alive2 parses LLVM directly, no need to rewrite an example in the DSL

    the command line is cute: it runs the alive2 pass twice, once before InstCombine and once after, in order to see if the optimized IR refines the original IR. alas alive2 isn't runnable from the web yet, we need to fix that. sources are here:
