That is real common sense. The U.K. has been exporting more cheese to France rather than the reverse. Hence we should now have more U.K. cheese in U.K. stores!

Spoke to Sainsbury’s and they are on it. Bananas, Oranges, Pineapples, Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, Olive Oil, Cinnamon, Coconuts, Sugar, winter strawberry’s. All planned to be grown in Kent apparently. Once the lorry parks don’t need the space. Or Yorkshire.

Oh wise one. Can you tell me where I can get British grown bananas & citrus fruit. British grown rice British grown tea British grown coffee British grown chocolate. All delivered to a supermarket in a British built Lorry

Would much prefer to buy British and do so if possible. Great respect for our farmers and they should be supported. Thanks Mr. Redwood for what you are doing.

So much arable land has been bought up by housing developers though, that's just one problem. It also takes years & a lot of money to establish a productive & profitable farm. And there's over 60 million people to feed in the UK, many of whom don't even have a garden to cultivate
