"The #CovingtonCatholic students were misunderstood. They didn't mean to express racism while on a school trip, wearing politically-charged headgear—they meant to express misogyny while on a school trip, wearing politically-charged headgear.

If only a big company (like P&G) would make an ad targeting men, and pubescent men, reminding them of toxic masculinity. And rather than being offended, fathers and young men would self-reflect on their own behavior.

Yeah, how appropriate is it that the Gillette controversy and this happened within days of each other. It just underlines the fact that there is a certain section of young men in our society that are unwilling to listen to a world warning them to not live life as macho assholes

Turns out #CovingtonCatholic (like many institutions in this country) has a long history of racism. Here's a photo from a basketball game there in 2013. Notice anything... terrible? pic.twitter.com/igZIYPJ12B

Still, just to make sure they expressed their prejudices equally, they also 'interacted' with a Women's protest, Black Americans, Native Americans and a Jewish group. One would almost believe that their religious school inculcates prejudice & racism...

As I understand it, they were on a school field-trip. Is it correct that this school is tax exempt, and therefore prohibited from engaging in politics?

Misunderstood my eye. They were there to support forcing women to have their rapist's babies, but a new squirrel of a few shouters and a megaphone took their focus. They were there to antagonize and now the whole world knows what they and #CovingtonCatholicHighSchool are about.
