This is the history of @DefinitelyTyped: https://blog.johnnyreilly.com/2019/10/definitely-typed-movie.html … Thanks to @SeaRyanC & @drosenwasser of the @typescript team, @blakeembrey inventor of typings, @vvakame, @_stevefenton, @basarat, and of course @borisyankov for telling me their parts of the story❤️🌻

Fantastic story, would watch the movie adaptation. I was only vaguely aware of the situation at the time, other than "Why do I have to switch from tsd to typings?" and then "Why do I have to switch from typings to npm and @types?" but now I truly see.

Awesome, thanks for sharing and thanks to all of you for creating @DefinitelyTyped and making it awesome and awesomer through @types packages! I'm definitely adding this to my TypeScript book's history section ;-))

Great story... I was using TS from the very start for the same reasons it seems everyone in the article enjoyed it too. Takes me back to the wonder & amazement of just how much productivity improved. Good intellisense is a huge booster of productivity. Self-doxumenting libs, etc

@diullei could you tell us more about "Typescript on Codeplex time"? I know that Typescript history has much more history ...
