Republicans are adamant that they've simply found a way to use the generous CA ballot collection law to their advantage. And for now, at least, no one is suggesting anything other than the boxes and signs were bad.
They didn't object in 2018 when Democrats did it and no one had idea who collected it, if it was tampered with, or if it was even returned. The law doesn't care, does it?
