Last week the Alabama Parole Board denied 71-year-old Leola Harris parole, even though she is suffering from end stage renal disease. The board considered Ms. Harris's case for only 6 minutes before denying her parole. Her next hearing will be in 5 years. eji.org/news/alabama-p
When the news came out about Biden's classified documents, Washington went into a full lather about the political damage and how the WH had mishandled it. Two weeks later, we have some actual data on voter reaction. Guess what? It's no big deal.

Remember "election day" last November? In 2023 alone, there are *34* of them, for *272 different geographies* and hundreds of offices. Ferguson, Seattle, Chicago, and more have elections next month. This mess makes it hard for ordinary people to hold local govt accountable.
