Of course. But you know this. From NPR...Chicago’s strict gun regs have done nothing to curb gun crime: https://www.npr.org/2016/12/28/506505382/gun-deaths-in-chicago-reach-startling-number-as-year-closes …https://twitter.com/johnlegend/status/964389717851566080 …

Like i said, lax state gun laws correlate with higher gun deaths. This is not refutable.
-
75% of the guns used in Chicago shootings are from Indiana where there are no background checks.
-
Conceal and carry is legal in Chicago. Repeating the false premise that Chicago has the tightest gun regs is deliberately being dishonest at this point.
-
I am so sick of people like S.E. who really don’t give a f**k about the children of Chicago but to use them as a political talking point. We are losing our children on a daily basis and the streets are flooded with illegal guns. You don’t know a damn thing about Chicago S.E.

The vast majority of illegal guns sold on the street started out as legal guns. There are ABSOLUTELY things we can do to restrict access and proliferation.

I live in Idaho, a *very* red state. In a town of 40,000. Three of my family members have been in school shootings. 3! Luckily, they all made it. If that doesn’t seem excessive to someone, that’s disgusting. Btw, that doesn’t include all the ppl I know that have died by a gun.

Hawaii is among the lowest with 4.5 deaths by firearm per capita and they have very strict gun laws. What is different about Hawaii than other States?

Illinois has a 50% higher mortality rate for drugs, according to your source. Why focus on guns instead of drugs?pic.twitter.com/bPnwkR0iKm

Why not both? Like arguing "Heart or lungs! Heart or lungs! *Choose one!*" It's a false choice.

I am amazed GOP allows CDC to publish these stats given that they have barred federal research on gun violence.
