As a solar company, we are devastated to learn Trump has imposed a 30% tariff on solar panels virtually killing the solar industry. Solar employs more people than coal and oil combined. today's decision will cause the loss of roughly 23,000 American jobs this year.

Coal and oil is old school. It is killing the environment, it’s a non-renewable. #OverturnCitizensUnited and get these corrupt oil and gas lobbyists out of our representative’s pockets.

you don't even have to read the whole thread to get a very clear picture what kind of boneheaded, idiotic move this was. Lives and businesses, bought and sold by Trump and corporate greed.

This was only done to appease his donors from the fuel and coal industries who fear the rise of solar power. Why else would he target this industry when we get so many products from China? Including trump products?

Factories in South Korea and China are dumping solar panels below cost so we can't build them in America. This will help our factory workers who build panels here.

Yes you will have to pay more for your solar panel but would you rather have a cheap import or a quality made in America product? If you choose the first take it up with the union guy who lost his job

The problem is that other countries are way ahead of us in solar. China installs more solar in 60 days than we do in a year. Germany has done the most research and owns the most patents. The fact is to make them here does not make financial sense. It would drive cost up too much.
